Parish Safeguarding
All who volunteer in our parish are required to complete a disclosure form. Copies of this form are available in the parish office and sacristies in each church. (Readers, Ministers of the Eucharist, Choirs, the list goes on!) Those who work directly with young people are still required to fill out a Garda Vetting Form. These volunteers will be contacted directly.
Jubilee Year Celebrations
Become a ‘Pilgrim of Hope’ as requested by Pope Francis for this Jubilee Year 2025. This is the official pilgrimage in Dublin in our diocese for this Year of Hope. There is also a pilgrim site in St Kevin’s Church, Glendalough. Feel welcome to make the journey on your own or with a group of pilgrims. Log onto Jubilee Year 2025 – Pilgrims of Hope | Archdiocese of Dublin has lots of useful information on celebrating the Jubilee year here in Dublin. Another website at a national level is catholicbishops.ie where many events will be featured as they arise.
Brittas Coffee Morning
Well done to those who organised a recent coffee morning in Buttermount Golf & Leisure Club. €500 was donated to the Four Districts Day Care Centre.
Carpark fees
In Rathcoole from February a new system of paying outside of Mass times will come into place. The current machine will be removed (costing us 150 euro per month) and you will be able to pay online only. Many people are already using this service already.
Accord – Facilitators
Accord is now seeking marriage preparation facilitators. Might this be you? Accord Catholic Marriage Care Service CLG is currently recruiting volunteers to train as marriage preparation programme facilitators. If you are supportive of marriage in the Catholic Church and have the enthusiasm to be part of the Accord team that supports couples preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage then Accord wishes to hear from you. An Accord marriage preparation facilitator is a personally fulfilling role, blending life experience and faith. Successful applicants will receive professional training in the Accord marriage preparation programme and be part of a team delivering programmes locally. Contact Aisling at 01 5053112 or marriagepreparation@accord.ie, and for further information see www.accord.ie
