Corpus Christi Procession

Well done to all who took part in the special Corpus Christi Procession last Sunday in Saggart. Thanks to the Guards for providing safe passage across the road, Stewards, altar servers, those who gave out the rosary, the choir, sacristan, clergy and especially the young children who added to the colour and solemnity of the occasion.

Annual Blessing of the Graves (June)

Newcastle church graveyard – Sunday June 14 at 10am.
Newcastle cemetery – Sunday June 21 at 2pm.
Saggart cemetery after 9am Mass on Sunday June 28.

Rosminian Mission Appeal Update

Thanks to those who have been been leaving in used mobile phones and spectacles. These will be forwarded to Fr Willy in the next few weeks.

Pope Leo Letter on Humanity

The Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, has published the first encyclical, (major teaching letter), of his papacy. It is aimed at safeguarding humanity at a time of artificial intelligence. At its heart, is an appeal to all people of good will to work together to ensure that AI will be developed and used in ways that promote ‘human flourishing’ and help us to build a better and more just world.
