Lent
Trócaire Boxes are available inside the door at all church entrances. Trócaire is the Irish language word for “compassion”. Since it was founded by the Irish Catholic Bishops in 1973, Trócaire has put the compassion of the Irish people into action. For over fifty years they have brought about lasting change and transformed the lives of millions across continents. This impact is made possible by the generosity of those who support their work through annual initiatives like the Trócaire Box Appeal and by volunteering their time to create a positive difference in the world. For more information visit http://trocaire.ie
During Lent, Newcastle church has stations of the cross on Fridays at 5pm. Saggart church has Eucharistic Adoration every Monday from 5 to 7.45pm.
